New OMEN Lineup
HP presented their new Omen product line-up during TGS 2019.
The new product lineup includes the Omen X 2S 15, the Omen 17, the Omen 15, the Omen X 900, and the Omen Obelisk.
OMEN X 2S 15 Test Run
HP announced that their new Omen X 2S 15 will launch in September and will be the first gaming laptop with two displays!
The main display, at 15.6", is full HD. In addition to that, there's a smaller, ~6" touchscreen full HD display, which is mounted above the keyboard.
We tested it out, and since the dual display allows you to keep playing your games while checking comments on Twitter or Twitch, streamers will definitely love this device.
The Omen X 2S 15 doesn’t just look good on the outside, and it’s definitely what’s on the inside that also matters. The 8-core 16 thread 9th generation Intel CPU allows players to fully enjoy their high res games.
Also, with memory of up to 32 GB, it’s perfect for editing photos or videos as well.
Simply put, although the Omen X 2S is a gaming laptop, it’s a very functional machine.
There’s also an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU onboard, which means you can play those new games that require the very best specs.
And we can’t forget one of the most important parts of the machine: its cooling system.
We all know how crucial a good cooling system is for gaming computers, and the Omen X 2S 15 doesn’t disappoint with its strong air flow that faces directly back.
The machine we tested at TGS was running at full force, and stayed cool even while running all day long.
On top of being functional, the laptop was also relatively light for a gaming PC.
It only weighs 2.6kg (~5.7lbs), allowing for a comfortable experience when taking it around with you.
