The two earphones protruding from the charging case emphasize the fact that they are completely wireless.

JBL is a super global brand. The documents are written in more than 20 languages including Japanese.
The charging case fits in the palm of a woman's hand.
It holds the left and right earbuds and the USB Type-C wireless dongle for 2.4GHz connection.
The earbuds can play wirelessly for up to 24 hours (*depends on usage environment), and if placed in the charging case, charging is completed in about 2 hours from no remaining charge!
Charging to the charging case is possible through the USB Type-C port on the back.

Unable to suppress my eagerness, I plugged the dongle for 2.4GHz connection into the USB Type-C port of the PS5.
How can I use it just by plugging it in without any initial setup...

The PS5's settings screen clearly shows the words " USB headset (JBL Quantum TWS) "!
Now I can use it as much as I want!
When connected to 2.4GHz, the mode can be changed by tapping the touch area on either the left or right earpiece.
One tap turns on the active noise canceling function, AMBIENT AWARE function on or off, and two taps toggles the TalkThru function on or off, which picks up the voices of those around you.
With the Active Noise Cancellation feature turned on, the sound around you is unnaturally eliminated, forcing you to focus on the footsteps and gunshots in the game!

The interface responded when I connected the 2.4GHz dongle to the PC.

The "System Software" tab allows you to check the "JBL QuantumENGINE" language settings and earphone version, as well as the " Find Earphones " function.
It is sometimes difficult to find the fully wireless earphones if they are dropped in a room.
When you press the play button, the earphones will emit a high-pitched beep to tell you where your lost earphones are.
As noted in the warning, the earphones emit a very loud beep, so please do not use the device with the earphones in place.
JBL Headphones" application for smartphones
The "JBL Headphones" smartphone app can be installed from the App Store andApp Store.
However, Bluetooth connection requires a pairing ritual.
I am sure I am not the only one who has experienced that pairing takes a long time with cheap wireless earphones, and that I have had to repeatedly press the reset button with a toothpick.
But with "JBL Quantum TWS," you don't have to worry about that!
Simply open the charging case and the pairing mode is activated, then select "JBL Quantum TWS" from the smartphone screen for easy pairing!
Easy Setup is activated for the first time!
You can check for the best fit, test your ear canal, and set up the voice assistant to personalize it for you.
In just a few minutes, the entire setup was complete and we were on our way to the settings screen.
"JBL Headphones" allows you to check the battery status of the earphones and charging case, control the ambient sound and equalizer, change modes, and change the language of voice prompts.
The voice prompts can be selected from 11 languages, including Japanese.
I selected Japanese, but due to the polite Japanese, I got the impression that it lacked speed compared to English.
The English prompts are not difficult to understand either, so it seems to be a choice for the user.
The " Smart Audio & Game " section allows switching between audio mode and game mode.
Audio mode is the highest sound quality setting, while game mode reduces latency to a minimum.
I tried it out and it was obvious (or was it just my ears?) that the latency was reduced in game mode compared to audio mode. It was!
When playing mobile games via Bluetooth, be sure to select game mode!
And one of the best features of the "JBL Quantum TWS" is the simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connection!
To switch between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz, just three taps on the touch area of the left earpiece.
Once you get used to it, you can use it very comfortably!
Note that the 2.4GHz side of the Bluetooth connection remains silent while the output device remains connected, and the Bluetooth side of the 2.4GHz connection does not recognize the output device.
