I bought the popular Google Pixel 3a, so I compared it with other smartphones!

The color name is Just Black and the model number is G020H. It is designed by Google and manufactured in China.

The main difference from Pixel 3/3XL is the earphone jack.
Recently, we have been forced to face the inconvenience of smartphones that do not have an earphone jack, but I think it is a bit unfair that the lower-priced version has an earphone jack.
Type-C earphones are increasing in the market, but I still want to use good earphones to listen to rich and good sound, so I am glad that there is an earphone jack. It would have been better if it had a balanced connection, but it is a low-priced version, so it can't be helped.

Comparison with BlackBerrys

Now that we have compared Pixel with Pixel, let's compare Pixel with BlackBerry, the device you are most interested in.
This time, I compared with "BlackBerry KEYone", "BlackBerry KEY2", and "BlackBerry Priv". As you can see, the size is almost the same.
However, Pixel 3a has a larger screen and larger display area because it does not have a physical keyboard, which is the biggest disadvantage of Pixel 3a.

Pixel 3a is also a cool and attractive smartphone, but if you put it side by side with BlackBerry, its appeal will be reduced by half, so those who purchase Pixel 3a should be careful not to put it side by side with BlackBerry.

Impressions after trying it for a while

I'm using UQmobile = au SIM this time, and since it's a SIM-free version and supports au bands, I was able to use it without any problems.
Incidentally, LAN Cable Man originally used au, but since he switched to UQmobile, his monthly fee has been reduced to about 2,000 yen.

The lack of buttons on the bottom makes the screen a bit difficult to use vertically, just like the Pixel 3/3XL, and I realize the greatness of the BlackBerry.
However, in terms of size, it feels just right, not too big or too small, with no inconvenience to put in and out of pockets.

Above all, I am happy that there are no pre-installed applications from carriers.
On top of that, it is Felica compatible and can use major e-money such as Edy, Suica, Waon, and nanaco, so there is no need to bother to start an app and bring up the QR code screen, so Sony's Felica is great. PayPay!
One thing to keep in mind is that it does not support SD cards. Many smartphones these days don't support it, but it's a little unsatisfactory that an Android device doesn't support SD card.
But we'll see if the internal storage is sufficient or not when I start using it more heavily.
