ASUS Japan, Ltd. announces the release of two new products in the ASUS ProArt monitor series, the "ProArt PA32UCX-K" and "ProArt PA32UCX".
ProArt PA32UCX-K/PA32UCX
The "ProArt PA32UCX-K" and "ProArt PA32UCX" are 4K displays for creators with direct-lit mini LED backlight and calibrator.
It supports a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 and uses the latest technology of mini-LED backlighting, which uses a high density of mini-LEDs, half the number of conventional LEDs, to dramatically improve the accuracy of brightness adjustment. Moreover, 1,152 independent local dimming zones are realized from the high brightness area to the darkest area to reproduce HDR content with the highest contrast and accuracy.
Technology for creatives who want to go even further
The ProArt PA32UCX-K and ProArt PA32UCX are equipped with a number of features for creative professionals.
ASUS Smart HDR technology supports multiple HDR (high-dynamic-range) formats and PQ curves, including PQ Hard Clip, PQ Optimized, and PQ Basic. With support for Dolby Vision™ HDR, content creators will be able to expand their creative horizons with the amazing image quality of cinema-quality HDR technology that can reproduce billions of colors with consistency.
With 10-bit IPS and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, the HDR series also supports Quantum Dot technology, which delivers a wide color gamut that cannot be covered by ordinary LCD monitors.
It also covers a wide color gamut of 99% of DCI-P3, 99.5% of Adobe RGB, 100% of sRGB, 100% of Rec. 709 and 89% of Rec. 2020, providing a wider color coverage than the industry standard.
To ensure industry-leading color reproduction, a new three-step process of pre-calibration is performed prior to shipment. This is followed by rigorous testing using ASUS' advanced grayscale tracking technology.
An industry-leading Delta E (△E) <1 color difference value ensures smoother color gradients, better uniformity, and higher color accuracy.
Each grayscale level is also carefully measured and set to strictly conform to medical DICOM standards.
The ASUS ProArt PA32UCX/ProArt PA32UCX-K features HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C and USB hub. Quickly connect to gadgets such as Blu-ray players, control panels, peripherals, desktops and other displays when creating content.
The Picture in Picture function allows you to display another video input in a small window on the screen, and the Picture by Picture function allows you to display multiple video inputs side by side on the screen. Audio source selection is also available.
Release Date and Price
"ProArt PA32UCX-K" will be available on Friday, September 27, 2019 and "ProArt PA32UCX" in mid-October 2019. Both are openly priced.
The "ProArt PA32UCX" is available for pre-order from Amazon for 310,889 yen and from Sofmap and Bic Camera for 335,664 yen.
