Snow Miku and Rabbit Yukine are both characters developed by Crypton to support Hokkaido. Crypton, in collaboration with Good Smile Company, has been soliciting original designs for "Snow Miku" costumes every year since 2012, with a specific theme set for each year. Since 2015, the company has also been soliciting costumes for "Yukine the Rabbit," Snow Miku's pet character, and the winning entry has been made into a cute 2.5 life-size deformed palm-sized action figure called a " Nendoroid. The winning entry will be made into a "Nendoroid," a palm-sized action figure with a cute deformation of 2.5 life-size. For 2023, the theme of the contest is "sky patterns," and the public entries have been transformed into "Nendoroids.
The winning entry will also be used as the costumes worn by "Snow Miku" and "Rabbit Yukine" at " SNOW MIKU 2024," a festival Crypton plans to hold in 2024 to support the Hokkaido region. The costumes will also be featured in festival promotions andmerchandise, so there will be plenty of fun to be had after the costumes are adopted! The theme for the 2024 costume is " feast" inspired by the Hokkaido winter. The organizers will select the finalists from among the entries received by 17:00 on March 22 (Wed.), 2023, and announce the finalists at the end of March. The general public will be able to vote via a web-based poll, and the selected entries will be announced around the beginning of August.
