Yamada Denki has been hosting its own eSports tournament, the " YAMADA Cup eSports Tournament," since 2019, and the third edition was held at the "Taiko Drum Master Nintendo Switch Bajyon! The third tournament was held using "Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Bajyon!", but the first, second, and fourth tournaments were held using Namco Bandai's 3D fighting game " Tekken 7 ", so many people may have an image of the tournament as a "Tekken 7" tournament.
The "YAMADA Cup eSports Tournament" has not been held for a while, with the most recent 4th event to be held at the end of 2020, but the 5th event is now set to be held!
This time, of course, the title will be " Tekken 7 "!
1 on 1 online tournament
The " 5th YAMADA Cup eSports Tournament Tekken 7 Act.4 " will be an eSports tournament hosted by Yamada Denki using "Tekken 7" (Steam version).
As in the previous 4th event, it will be held online, but while the previous event was a 3 on 3 team competition, this time it will be a 1 on 1 individual competition!
This time, the competition will be a single elimination format, with three rounds and two matches to be played first.
The winner of the tournament will receive a gift certificate worth 200,000 yen, the runner-up will receive a gift certificate worth 100,000 yen, and the third-place tie will receive a gift certificate worth 50,000 yen each.
The "5th YAMADA Cup eSports Tournament Tekken 7 Act.4" will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, and is now open for entries!
The entry period is until 23:59 on August 22 (Sun.), 2021, but if there are too many entrants, the maximum number of entrants will be 128 on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you are considering entering, be sure to do so as soon as possible!
The main points to note are that "Tekken 7" will be available on Steam, Discord will be used to communicate with the management staff, and Tonamel will be used for entry and other purposes.
If you have not yet created a Discord or Tonamel account, please make sure to do so before entering the tournament.
