It was against this backdrop that the " Smash Bros. SP Online Challenge " for "Super Smash Bros.
In 2020, there were a total of five online challenges, including a heated rating battle to earn scores within a limited time frame and a final competition for the top players, all of which were very exciting.
If the event was that exciting, why wouldn't we have it this year?
The "2021 Online Challenge" will be held again this year!

Round 1 will be an additional stage with no items!

Whenever a new fighter joins the Smash Bros. SP, a new stage is added along with music and spirits.
Since its release, 10 new stages have been added, including the "Small Battlefield" in the free Ver. 8.1 update, and this first round will be limited to those 10 stages!

The match format will be 1 on 1, with no items, and the rules will be a one-on-one match.
There are no restrictions on which fighters can be used, but the additional stages are related to the fighters, so it is likely that the use of the additional fighters will increase.
This year's event will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 19:00 to 21:00. Let's score as many points as possible within the two-hour time limit!

To participate, start up Smash Bros. SP during the World War II period and go to "Online" -> "Super Smash Bros.

What is the "Online Challenge"?

The "Online Challenge" was very popular in 2020, but for those of you who started playing Smash Bros SP this year, this is a new event for you, right?
For those of you who have never participated in the "Online Challenge" before, let me give you a quick rundown!
The "Online Challenge" will be held in the form of a rating battle where players will compete against each other online for as many " tournament scores " as possible within the time frame of the event.
All participants will start with a score of 15,000, and their score will go up if they win and down if they lose. Score changes can be checked after each match.

The top challengers whose scores are within the Top 100 will have their player data posted on the official Smash Bros. SP website at a later date, so be sure to aim for a Top 100 ranking!
Furthermore, starting with the 2021 Online Challenge, in addition to the aforementioned Top 100 overall ranking, the No. 1 ranking for each fighter will also be posted!
In the first round, there are no restrictions on fighters, so you may be able to make it here! Let's aim for the top rank with a fighter that you are good at but whose usage rate seems to be low!

The top players of the year will go to the "Championship"!

The "2021 Online Challenge" is scheduled to have a total of 5 rounds within this year, with different themes and rules for each round.
In addition to the rankings for each round, the " Annual Ranking " will be newly established this year, and the Top 100 Challengers will be announced based on the total score of all five rounds!
The Top 100 at that stage will be posted from the end of the second round, so it will also serve as an indicator of how much you should score in the next round.

Those who remain in the Top 100 at that time will receive a Top Challenger medal as a prize !
