New Experiences Added and Coming to Sendai!
Atsumare Animal Crossing x Sendai Uminomorimori Aquarium Hakkeijima Sea Life Interactive Exhibition" will be held in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, in addition to the "Hakkeijima Sea Life Interactive Exhibition" held at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise in Yokohama in the summer of 2021. The "Hakeijima Sea Creatures Friendship Exhibition" will be held at the Sendai Uminomori Aquarium in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
The exhibition will be held at Sendai Uminomori Aquarium, but it will be called "Hakeijima: Creatures of the Sea", which means that "Hakeijima" will be coming to Sendai from Yokohama!
However, since the facilities and the season are different from those of the "Hakeijima: Sea Creatures" exhibition held at Sea Paradise, some of the contents of the exhibition will be changed.
Many creatures that are not usually found at Sendai Uminomori Aquarium will be on display, so even regular visitors will be able to enjoy the exhibit with a fresh perspective!
Some of the exhibits are the same as those at Sea Paradise, but we would like to introduce the "Atsumare Animal Crossing x Sendai Uminomorimori Aquarium: Hakeijima Sea Creature Friendship Exhibition" in its entirety!
Sea creatures that appear in Atsumori are on display!
89 species of sea creatures (including specimens) that appear in Atsumori will be on display in the "Sea of Japan", "Uminomori Beach", "Sea of the World", and "Marine Animals Plaza" areas of the aquarium!
Original explanatory panels will be installed in each tank to provide visitors with explanations and trivia by aquarium staff, so that they can learn more about sea creatures in a more detailed and fun way.
Including the Napoleon Fish, which will be exhibited for the first time at the Sendai Uminomori Aquarium, 38 species of sea creatures will be specially exhibited for this event, so regular visitors to the Sendai Uminomori Aquarium will be able to enjoy the exhibits as well.
What does it taste like? Let's actually eat them!
There are many sea creatures with different appearances and ecologies, and many of them can be eaten.
Some of the fish you catch in Atsumori look so delicious that you can't stop thinking about them.
At " wakuwaku ocean " on the first floor of the museum, visitors can actually eat the fish and other seafood described by the fishermen in Atsumori.
The original menu will offer seafood that is usually hard to find, such as Sendai's famous "sea squirt," "hawksbill crab," and "gazami," which are hard to eat!
The number of items is limited and the prices are reasonable, so you might want to visit the event as soon as possible because the sales may end soon.
There are also presents! Diving experience in the big tank!
At the "Inochi Kirameku Umi" large water tank, "Diving in the tank " will be held, where you can try diving in a marine suit!
In the large tank that reproduces the sea of Sanriku, there are 8 kinds of shark s that appear in the game such as "horse mackerel", "rockfish", and "ray". In addition, a wide variety of creatures live in the tank, including curious snapping turtles.
Dive into the large tank and get up close and personal with the creatures as if you were diving into the sea at Atsumori!
Instructors will be on hand to take underwater photos, and participants will also receive a Lakoske sticker to remember this winter!

Let's actually touch the sea creatures!
At " Uminomori Beach, " a recreation of a seashore, you can enter the water and actually touch sea creatures such as starfish and sea c ucumbers!
You may have seen them in videos and photos, but not many people have actually touched them! This is a rare opportunity, so please come!
Also, if you find scallops scattered around the beach, you will receive a Lakoske sticker with a quote from the famous fish, so be sure to get one!

Atsumare Animal Crossing x Sendai Uminomori-no-Mori Aquarium Hakkeijima Sea Creatures Friendship Exhibition" will be held from November 16, 2021 (Tuesday) to January 10, 2022 (Monday, holiday).
As the event name suggests, it will be held at " Sendai Uminomori Aquarium " during the hours of 10:00 - 17:00 (last admission at 16:30).
Advance tickets, which include an admission ticket and a 200-yen "Hakeijima Stamp Rally" stamp rally book, are available at the official website of Sendai Uminomori Aquarium and at various convenience stores for 2,200 yen for adults, the same price as the regular admission ticket.
